Below is a list of resources to help those on low incomes and those who may need additional support – from benefits you may be eligible for, to local organisations offering food or financial support.

Access to food

There are organisations in our community that can help you to access food. If you are struggling to contact or visit these organisations, or if you need a referral, please do contact my office.

 

The Hounslow Community Food Box

Located at Rose Community Centre, 1 Hawthorn Road, Brentford, TW8 8NT.

In order to receive the free emergency food packages, they offer, a referral is needed from a Charity, GP or the Council.

Food Storehouse @ Riverside Vineyard Church.

Located at The Vineyard Centre, 513 Browells Lane, Feltham, TW13 7EQ.

They offer a variety of free products to support you with your needs such as food, children’s clothes and equipment.

St Paul’s Church food bank

Located at St. Paul’s Church, Bath Road, Hounslow West, TW3 3DA & The Church of the Good Shepherd, 360 Beavers Lane Hounslow TW4 6HJ.

Open Wednesday morning 9.30am-11.30am at St Paul’s and every Thursday from 11-12.30pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd.

 

Feltham Food Bank

Located at 102 Hounslow Rd, Feltham, TW14 0AX

Please note that access to the Feltham Food Bank is for people living in the postcode TW13 and TW14 area. Additionally, a referral is needed which my office can support you with.

Anne Shine Charity UK Community Foodbank Feltham

Located at 9-10 Central Parade, Feltham TW14 0DH

They provide emergency food to support families, vulnerable adults, senior citizens and unemployed residents.

Open Kitchen

Located at 514 Great West Road, Hounslow TW5 0TE.

They offer food parcels and hot meals to take away with vegetarian and halal food options available.

Open 7 days a week 1-2pm.

 

Holy Trinity Church

Located at 6 High Street, Hounslow TW3 1HG.

They provide hot and cold food in their car park.

Open Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm and on Friday at 3pm.

Household Support Fund

The Government has confirmed that it will extend the Household Support Fund for a further 6 months, from 1 October 2024 until 31 March 2025. As a result of this extension, local councils in England will receive £421 million to support vulnerable people in their areas.

Community Hubs

London Borough of Hounslow Council runs community support hubs in different locations across the borough. They can connect you to services for local support and activities, befriending, financial support, information on keeping healthy, skills and employment and mental health.

The Feltham Community Hub is held at Feltham Assembly Hall every Tuesday 2pm – 5pm.

The Cranford Community Hub is held at Beavers Children Centre & Library every Wednesday, 10:30am – 2:30pm.

Citizens Advice Bureau Feltham

The Citizens Advice Bureau Feltham provides free, confidential, impartial advice on welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment, consumer, relationship & family issues, immigration and other topics.

Drop-in sessions are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-12pm.
