Feltham and Heston MP Seema Malhotra has joined outgoing Mayor Raghwinder Siddhu in congratulating the CB Hounslow United Under-15s team for topping the Surrey League this year. 

The MP and the Mayor joined the team for the presentation of trophies at the Green Lane grounds on Saturday evening by coach Tiger VJ. 

MP Seema Malhotra said: 

“This is a huge achievement and a testament to the commitment and hard work of the young footballers from our community, and to their parents and coaches. We could not be more proud of their success.” 

VJ said: 

“My role was just to teach my best – it was the lads that played the games, sometimes with only seven players.” 

“They have a long way to go but at least it’s in the right direction. I hope this encourages other kids to join in the sport of their choosing. If interested, please go to koclubtrust.uk.”  

The MP also took the opportunity to speak to young players about what being part of a local team means to them and what their ambitions are. The MP will be inviting the young players to Parliament in July.
