This Bill is a con that will lead to a greater cost for taxpayers, gangs making more money and lives put at risk.
Only Labour has a serious plan to stop dangerous boat crossings putting lives at risk and undermining border security.
Labour will:
Crack down on criminal smuggler gangs through a new Cross-Border Police Unit.
Clear backlog and end end hotel use through fast-tracking asylum decisions and returns to safe countries.
Have new agreements with France and other countries on returns and family reunion.
Reform resettlement schemes to stop people being exploited by gangs.
Tackle humanitarian crises at source, helping refugees in their region.
