I spoke out in support of farmers during the debate relating to press freedoms and safety of protestors in India. This was following the petition which was signed by over 3,400 people in Feltham and Heston. I’ve had so many people reach out to me on this issue and know we have friends and family who are deeply affected by the situation, who understandably feel anxious that things could escalate further.

Men and women have been protesting in India against farm laws for over 100 days in incredibly tough conditions. This issue must be resolved through democratic means. Doing that means also a right to press freedoms and safety of protesters. Watch my full speech in Parliament 👇🏽 #Istandwithfarmers 🚜🌽
