Feltham and Heston MP Seema Malhotra has spoken with the Post Office today to seek an update on Heston post office which closed to the public on the 17th February, following the owner having to close the business. Customers have since been advised to use to alternative post offices at 160 Brabazon Road in Heston West or 16 King Street in Southall.
The Post Office has previously said that they are reviewing the local area in terms of existing and future post office provision.
In discussions today, the Post Office management told the MP that they are looking to “restore the Post office in Heston as soon as possible and are having discussions with an interested party.”
MP Seema Malhotra said “This is positive progress. We need the Post Office reopened as soon as possible in the community for residents and businesses in Heston. I will continue to keep in touch with the Post Office to do all we can to help and keep residents updated.”
