This morning I met with Russell Hobby, CEO at Teach First and Alex Pett, Principal at Logic Studio based in Feltham as part of National Careers Week.
Teach First partners with over 1,000 schools across England, recruiting and training brilliant new teachers. Currently there are 39 trainees working across 9 schools in Feltham and Heston building on the 218 Teach First Alumni teaching across the constituency.
Careers education is key to raising student aspirations, engagement and career readiness and it was lovely speaking with students about their experience at Logic School and seeing first hand how Logic are unlocking opportunities for young people by working with the Local Community.
Labour would embed life skills in the curriculum and ensure that all school pupils have access to a dedicated careers advisor as part of our aspiration that every child should leave education ready for work and ready for life.
