I’ve sent a letter to the Post Office on the temporary closure of Heston Post Office.
Post Offices are vital infrastructure and it’s important that Heston Post Office is reopened as soon as possible.
The letter I sent read:
I write to you regarding the temporary closure of Heston Post Office, 168 Heston Road, Hounslow, TW5 0QU and to thank you for your correspondence on 31st January 2023 which I was able to share on social media.
We know the Post Office has important outreach in services like financial inclusion, business banking support, and connecting local people and businesses with friends, family and customers.
I was very sorry to hear that the Post Office is closing and very much hope this is for as short a time as possible.
I would appreciate it if you could update me on:

- When you were first aware of the branch’s temporary closure
- Current progress on identifying a new postmaster
- The timeline on which the Post Office hope to reopen the branch
