I had a wonderful time yesterday visiting the British Beauty Council’s British Beauty Week.
I met some brilliant women entrepreneurs and scientists, who are pioneering the way in helping women get into STEM and into business.
The beauty industry makes a huge contribution to the UK economy and our high streets, employing 1 in every 60 British workers.
Pop along to Carriage Hall before 12th September to see for yourself what the beauty industry has to offer!
Together we discussed the future of STEM and education within the sector, as well as how women can build careers within the £30bn beauty industry.
The beauty industry industry is incredibly important. The beauty and wellbeing sector has been an overlooked area by Government despite contributing so much not just to our highstreets and communities but also to our economy.
You can watch my speech here on the lack of support the government has given for the beauty industry during this pandemic here: https://seemamalhotra.laboursites.org/2021/06/30/seema-malhotra-mp-speech-on-lack-of-support-for-the-beauty-industry-during-covid/
