Seema Malhotra backs the Waterman’s Crowdfunding initiative as part of the #saveourtheatres campaign.
Watermans has introduced generations of local children from all backgrounds to the joy of coming to the theatre with their children’s theatre programme and Seema wants to see this continue for years to come.
The Watermans arts centre is a vital part of our community but it has been hard hit by the pandemic and its future has never looked so uncertain. They have launched a crowdfunding campaign because they believe if they don’t act now, they can’t guarantee they will be here in their current form this time next year.
Watermans is aiming to raise £60,000 over the next four weeks to help it survive the pandemic intact, and reopen with a full programme of children’s theatre, cabaret, dance, music, workshops and cinema. Raising the £60,000 will also mean they can continue their outreach activity across Hounslow and continue to deliver a year-round programme for disabled children and their families.
You can support Watermans’ future by making a donation or help by sharing their campaign link as widely as possible:
