Earlier this week I visited the Feltham Skills Centre, part of West Thames College. It has been absolutely incredible to see the facilities and how they are being upgraded.
This is a college that takes in around 6,000 students a year – not just young people but also older learners.
To see the kind of support and culture this college has gives me great hope that we are going to have a really strong offer and service to help people get back into work through this crisis.
I have also been talking with the management and those that have been working with our local jobcentres.
That’s why I’m proud that Hounslow is bringing everybody together – employers, colleges and our jobcentre – to make sure that we’ll help everybody in Hounslow who needs it have the chance to get back to work.
