Seema Malhotra has signed an open letter calling for action from the Secretary of State for International Trade regarding the murder of George Floyd.

She said: “Following the horrific murder of George Floyd, I was proud to back Dawn Butler’s letter to the government where 166 MPs from all parties call for the UK to stop tear gas and rubber bullet exports to the US.

There is no place for discrimination in today’s society and we must all continue to fight for change. I can assure you that I will continue to fight for an end to racial discrimination and lend support to any of my colleagues who seek to create positive change.”
