In Parliament Seema Malhotra MP hosted other MPs and constituents from across London to speak on the serious issue of landlord service charges.

Seema Malhotra MP said:

“I was delighted with the turn-out from residents across London. This is a matter that quite clearly needs to be addressed and having the round-table here in parliament was the very first step.

“I have been shocked at the lack of transparency of charges, service level agreements and the reasonableness of costs that residents have raised with me.

“This event has even raised more horror stories of effecting people’s lives. Many of these issues are from residents in A2Dominion blocks but we know the issue goes wider than this. Recent analysis suggests real concerns around double counting, overcharging and non-delivery of services which residents are still being charged for.

“We hope this is the starting point for a new conversation and potential change.”
