Today, in an Urgent Question on the Government’s policy of a giving meaningful vote in Parliament to agree the final withdrawal agreement with EU, David Davis failed yet again to confirm whether Parliament would get a vote before March 2019.

Seema Malhotra MP, member of the Exiting the European Union Select Committee, said: “David Davis has again today failed to confirm that Parliament will get a vote before March 2019. This debacle makes a mockery of our democracy and is completely unacceptable. Parliament must now be guaranteed a meaningful binding vote on the terms on which we exit and that vote should be on the face of the EU Withdrawal Bill. If David Davis won’t support cross party amendments that have been tabled, he should bring forward his own.”
