There are special arrangements during a General Election period. Parliament is dissolved between 12.01am on Wednesday 3 May, and its reformation after polling day on 8 June 2017.  During this period there are no members of Parliament.  If re-elected, Seema will return to parliamentary duties from 9 June.

All UK, Irish and Commonwealth citizens resident in the UK and over 18 can vote if they are registered.  You can register to vote at this web site.  The last deadline to register to vote in this General Election is 22 May, but if you can register earlier it will make the administration of the election much easier.  Hounslow Council give useful election advice here.
